Amitié, ovvero: la sacralità del gesto, l’atto primordiale del condividere
ciò che si ha e il piacere genuino di stare insieme. Progettazione partecipata, in nome di un rapporto di ritrovata amicizia tra la mano del designer e quella dell’artigiano. Riprogettare un archetipo è cosa assai difficile ma al contempo affascinante. Concentrandosi sulla sacralità dell’atto e calibrando le proporzioni, Matteo Ragni ha progettato la nuova forma archetipa della coppa dell’amicizia. Ogni artigiano coinvolto nella realizzazione ha avuto invece il compito di progettare il coperchio e, a suo gusto e sapienza, di personalizzare la superficie del corpo tramite sgorbia o strumenti ritenuti idonei a trasmettere la propria arte.

Amitié, or: the sacredness of the gesture, the primordial act of sharing what you have and the genuine pleasure of being together. Participatory design, in the name of a relationship of rediscovered friendship between the hand of the designer and the one of the craftsman. Redesigning an archetype is a very difficult but at the same time fascinating challenge. Focusing on the sacredness of the act and calibrating the proportions, Matteo Ragni designed the new archetypal shape of the friendship cup. Each craftsman involved in the realisation had instead the task of designing the lid and, according to his taste and knowledge, customising the surface of the body using gouges or tools deemed suitable to convey his art.
